this is creepy. tonights viewing of jupiter got me into reading about space and time, and I came upon this video of the people in the "Heavens Gate" cult, who all killed themselves in order to get aboard a spaceship which was hidden behind the Hale-Bopp comet in 1997. I read that all of them had $5.75 in their pockets, which i'm guessing was the cost to get onto the ship.
